Licensing requirements(subsection 10(1) of the PSISA)

All individuals looking to obtain a security guard license must:

• Complete the required training and testing.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess a clean criminal record, according to the Clean Criminal Record Regulation, which can be found on the PSISA website.
• Be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Note: You must show proof that you meet these requirements. Applications that do not meet said requirements will not be processed.
