Ontario Security Guard License

In order to work as a Security Guard in Ontario, you must obtain an Ontario Security Guard License. Dominion Security Services has established themselves as a leader in the security services industry and is proud to offer the Security Guard Certification Course.

Who is Eligible?

To be eligible for a security guard license in Ontario you must be a minimum of 18 years of age, be eligible to work in Canada and must possess a clean criminal record.

What is involved in the security training course?

Security guard basic training courses must be at least 40 hours in length and include certification in Emergency First Aid and CPR. Upon completion of the security training you must pass a multiple choice test to obtain your Ontario Security Guard License.

Application Form

Once security training is complete and you have passed the testing phase, you can then apply for the license. This involves filling out a guarantor form, sending in two passport-quality photographs and two pieces of acceptable government issued identification.

Time Frame?

The entire process from start to finish can take approximately 4-6 weeks to complete before a security guard license is issued.
